New and Improved Mr Fox giveaway

While making a new mr.fox sample for the recent market display, I realised he was very fiddly. And really - does he have to be so tricky? Nope! So I made some slight adjustments and simplifications, changed the drawings and hey presto! Here is the new improved simpler more user friendly Mr Fox bag-tag craft kit! (here is the old mr fox for comparison)

Autumn Garland

 

 The garland pieces are all made from recycled jumper felt.....  with apples, three types of  autumn leaves, acorns and.....

 And quite tricky to photograph!

The Autumn Garland will make it into to re-sew-cool kit form so that other people can make it too - although I'm a bit late for Autumn lovers in the southern hemisphere! Better get cracking on the other seasons! Three to go!

Foxy

 

Can you guess what I'm going to do these foxes?

 Oh hipster people out there.Have you noticed that when you wear your tight high-waisted (coloured) jeans with your lace up oxfords, that there’s a little gap where the Autumn chill can get through? Oh the ankle freezer’s curse!  Hence, I introduce to you - 

the ankle warmer.

What do I call these little foxy things?? Spats? Gaiters? I don’t know the technical term. And  I still need to perfect the pattern for optimum placement of fox head, tail versus width of ankle and to make a child size version too. So stay tuned for the make your own foxy gaiters/spats/ankle warmer kit....coming soon...back to the stitching.

Pin the moustache...

Here's the BIG fox wall hanging (he's about 80 cm x 80 cm)I've been working on...all recycled jumpers and blankets, the orange and green have been hand dyed.                  

                                   

The dapper fox has 5 different styles of moustaches for playing the party game. It's been interesting to work on a larger scale than the re-sew-cool brooches and bag-tags too. Different challenges - takes up more space to make it for one thing. Now I'm going to hang the fox on the wall and let the twins and Baby Joe have a game. They have been very patient watching me finish it...NOT! Yesterday they enjoyed a rainy day game of pin the tail on the donkey.
