another Victorian stockist to mention. . . Fairground Child!

A couple of months ago we were invited to stock a fabulous eco / fair trade / handmade business focused on children.

Fairground Child has a website with online store, as well as two bulging shops in the inner 'burbs of Melbourne's north.

• North Carlton - 733 Nicholson Street (west side of the shopping strip, in other words, NOT on the North Fitzroy side of the street).
• Fairfield - 84 Station Street - tucked in beside another kids shop with a similar name - don't get them confused!

A range of our kits can definitely be found in the North Carlton shop. We're not sure whether they have yet spread to the newer Fairfield shop. But Robyn, founder of Fairground Child, will know! Their number is (03) 9388 8556.

September Free Shipping Sale, and news on other fronts

Well! ( hands on hips.) Hello there! Let's see: -

1. A brand-new stockist to mention! Onabee in downtown, lovely, hilly, charming Kensington, within cooee of the city of Melbourne. We have new stock there right now. Get over there, meet Fiona who runs the new but already chock-full shop. Get involved in one of her classes, browse for new yarn and/or needles, buy some handmade jewels or accessories, pick up a craft mag - most convivial! Oh, and alright if you insist, go and buy one of our kits there too!
2. Did you think we'd finished mentioning brand-new stockists? Well no! In Hobart we have the craft hive, another hub of crafting knowledge and fun and action. They stock our kits under their category of "takeaway craft". Good description. Kristan from The Craft Hive has a website bulging with detail. If there's a craft you love that isn't mentioned there, I'd be surprised. They're in Liverpool Street, Hobart People - go and check them out! 
3. Over at our own website http://www.sisteroutlaws.com.au/ we have cracked! We've busted out a September Free Shipping sale. At this stage, it's just for our Australian and New Zealand customers. But our hearts are easily melted - if you live outside one of those countries and wish to buy a kit, drop us a line. We'll try to give you free shipping too!
4. Do you all know about our recently-added design? (Ooops, perhaps not, from my perusal of this blog.) Announcing a new brooch kit design: rain cloud! Sweet little project that we hope you like. 

5. Other new stockists will spring up in the coming months - too early to announce exactly where just yet. Australia is crafting up!

re-sew-cool kits are making their way into a shop or two. . .

Hi there visitors!

We've been slowly but steadily sneaking some of our wares out into the world, beyond our online outlets. This process takes time, but we aim to have at least one stockist for each Australian state or territory by the end of the year.

For now, here are a few new, actual, physical, non-virtual places to buy re-sew-cool kits.

1. Cygnet Market, Town Hall, Mary Street, Cygnet, Tasmania 

Our friend Sue knows handmade; she lives and breathes it, in a beautiful part of the world.

We don't have enough space here to trot out a list of all the stuff that Sue can make herself, but here's a small sample: houses, yarns, food gardens, windows, drawings, clothing, toys, homewares, caravans, beer, photographs, bread, preserves. . .

Anyway, she holds a stall at this town hall market every first and third Sunday of the month. It's a farmers'/ growers'/ produce market, whatever you prefer to call it.

Alongside Sue's own foodie wares, which vary depending on what she's recently harvested, Sue also sells re-sew-cool kits.

She's CEO of our Tasmanian operations! If you're down that way, or if you're lucky enough to live nearby, check out Sue's stall.

2. Nook, West End, Queensland

This week we sent off a selection of kits to another intriguing shop championing the handmade and indie, this time way north.

3. Little Shop Of, Carnegie, Victoria

And last but not least, and closer to our Melbourne hidey hole, we have an emporium of indie goodness in Carnegie,
