It seems impolite to launch into new posts without a quick catch up with what I have been up to.
Mending....the plight of the vintage clothes wearer...everything from shorts to shoes, beads to bonnets. And many, many frocks. Seems like the mending pile is under control now.
Sewing:.....little gathered skirts for the twins from recycling old dresses. They are calling them “kinder skirts”
Kids crafts.... we have been collecting colourful plastic rubbish from the parks(as inspired by Betty Jo)and using it (after a clean) in pasting and printing and threading.
Reading...LOTS of reading.....catching up on New Scientist (one arrived today!) and, as it is the national year of reading as well as my New Year plan to read more, I have been submerging myself into some terrific novels. Yay for the Library!
Painting.... mini Mexican makeovers. This will be an ongoing project around the house. Little bit at a time. This border I have painted on the picture rails in the hallway.
Holidaying...
Welcome back! Missed you! I'm envious of your beautiful industriousness (or maybe I should say industry? the former has more flourish, though).
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to hear that someone else hasn't blogged for about a month. I should clarify that by saying I've sort of fallen off the blog wagon and it helps to know I'm not the only one who has been going along the same path. Number of things happened, mostly I have been studying and that has been taking up a lot of my time. I don't feel so bad now .... Blogged yesterday and hope to blog at least once a week. Welcome back
ReplyDeleteI think we're allowed to jump in where we are .... don't think it matters. No hard and fast rules thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteYay! You're back. It sounds like you've been having fun while you were away from blogging. You keep so busy but I'm glad you re-entered the conversation.
