Trying this free online sewing pattern for girls

This free peasant dress pattern for little girls from size 18 months to 6 years is really easy.

I made it as a short sleeve dress and added patch pockets and tie. I'll be making more of these! I've already made it as a little top for the twins - might try a long sleeve version next with side pockets....and yes, may even make one for myself...but I really must stop dressing like my 6 year olds!!!

  1. I'd love to see your grown-up version, in fact that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this cute little dress. I often see kiddo's clothes and think "I wish I could buy that in my size..." Nothing wrong with dressing like your twins J, better that than dressing like your Nana! (although you've probably got a really cool Nan who rocks her frocks!)
Gorgeous little model (s?), once again x

  2. The model is Pepper (Again!) because Wanda hates staying still! Thanks for the encouragement on a grown up version - you know I have been known to try on kids clothes in a kids 14 or 16!!! Sad but true!

    1. Know that feeling alice apple! It's a good pattern even with a contrasting sleeve fabric. I'm a bit addicted!!!

  4. Love it!! Beautiful print. Funnily enough, that looks exactly like the tried and true one hour dress pattern that I have made about 6-7 tops and dresses for MYSELF with -- I become a lazier dressmaker by the minute. I vary the sleeve length and sometimes add a patch pocket or two as well.

    1. Love the sound of that one hour dress pattern - I can't stop making these with variations. They are so quick and practical! The kids look great in them - as I'm SURE you do too Sandra!
