With a few upcoming markets I thought I'd make some pretty little things for gifts for little girls.
Using trims - lace and fringing. I had some short snake chains and with a tiny crochet hook and embroidery yarn, I crocheted around the chain and through the trim.
A few tricks - don't crochet too tight or it won't sit flat as you can see in the picture - I have had to unpick it and start again!
See what's happening in other creative spaces here...
These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I enjoy making them - now I've worked out how to make them sit correctly. They are like little added collars for little girls.
Deletewow i love these, especially the fringy ones. if i did a top 10 of what i've seen on our creative spaces this year, these would be up there! i must pin these into my 'one day when i can crochet this is what i'm going to make' folder on pinterest!
ReplyDeleteThanks Max. It's very BASIC crochet so I'll do a tutorial. It would be a good first crochet project for you!
DeleteSuper cute - and I see a touch of Dolly creeping in, yet again! My girls would looove these. Where is that Etsy shop of yours, huh?
ReplyDeleteYeah yeah yeah - etsy shop is on the list of things to do...item no.126!
DeleteSo sweet. Lucky little girls around you.
ReplyDeleteThanks Irene - even my big teenage girls want them now!
